Humans need vitamins on a daily basis to maintain and improve bodily functions.

By taking such supplements, we not only avoid the risk of disease, but live fuller lives at the same time.

But we aren’t the only ones that need the supplements.

Your hairy friend may need them as well, especially if you’re the type of pet owner that allows anything that falls on the plate of your dog to pass as a meal.

Now, if the thought of giving it the same vitamins you’re taking came to mind, I want you to drop that idea right now.

Doing so leaves you with the risk of giving it too much iron, leading to a variety of dog diseases.

With that said, the best thing you could do to supply it with the nutrients that it lacks is to give it vitamins for dogs.

These supplements have been specially created to cater for the needs of your barker, it’s formulated at the exact ratio, meaning your pet won’t be getting too much or too little of the essential nutrients.

The problem with playing veterinarian and giving your pooch the amounts you think is best for him, is you obviously aren’t a veterinarian.

That’s why we have experts who’ve studied and created the perfect formulation for dogs of all age and breeds.

As it turns out, vitamins for dogs (as well as humans) are basically grouped into 2 main types, namely: fat soluble and water soluble.

The former includes a variety of essentials, such as A, D, E and K.

Because they’re fat soluble, it won’t be that easy for these to leave the body, since they’d have to burn off the fat first to flush it out.

Your furry companion won’t need much of these.

On the other hand, we have water soluble vitamins for dogs, which do get flushed out on a daily basis.

C and the B group of vitamins belong to this classification, although your pet won’t need much vitamin C, why?

Because they can actually produce it on their own, therefore, B-complex will be the more important of the two.

However, given that your pet is undertaking proper diet, (such as Biologically Accepted Raw Food), you may not need to give him supplements.

These are most needed by puppies, as it plays a big part during their developmental stage, and by senior barkers for prolonging their life span through avoiding ailments.

For more information on whether or not vitamins for dogs are needed by your pets, as well as the corresponding dosage, it’s best you consult a veterinarian first.

Maintaining proper diet is of the utmost importance too, by doing so you avoid the need for additional supplements, as well as a long line of ailments down the road.
